The Ikebana Teachers Association of Southern California will showcase the Japanese art of ikebana with more than 30 arrangements to support 75th the Nisei Week Festival.

The arrangements will be shown at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo, on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15-16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This exhibition will be the first event for the group, which was founded this year.

Participating artists are from four schools of ikebana:

Ikenobo —  Seisu Arimura, Chen Reizui, Amy Hsu, Seisui Kakimoto, Jyusui Ogawa, Shuun Salcedo, Ritsusui Shinbashi, Nancy Wu, Tina Fu Ting Yang

Ohara Ryu — Minako Hayashida, Reiga Kawamura, Yumiko Kikkawa, Jane Masuda, Noriko Naruishi, Mayumi Onami, Kyoko Oshiro, Satsuki Palter, Hokyu Repko, Shofu Shohara

Shofu Ryu — Sosui Saneto

Sogetsu — Shinyou Ahn, Gyokusen Arao, Shunkei Kassarjian, Youkou Kitajima, Bokuhou Kujiraoka, Koho Kurata, Yoshu Miyahara, Kaen Rosenthal, Gyokushun Takeichi, Sosei Watabe, Toshun Yasuda
