The program will feature two speakers: Dianne Kujubu Belli, MPH, FACHE; and Eric Carlson, Esq.

Carlson, the directing attorney for Justice in Aging, a national organization working to keep older Americans out of poverty, will explain Medi-Cal and California’s new initiatives to provide Medi-Cal coverage through managed care organizations. He will also discuss the rules governing nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Carlson has been with Justice in Aging for almost 15 years. Prior to that, he provided direct legal services to low-income seniors focusing on Medi-Cal and nursing home rights.
The seminar is open to the public, refreshments will be provided, admission is free, and no reservations are required. Translation will be provided for the Japanese-speaking. Both speakers will be available for a limited time to answer some individual questions at the end of the program.
