At the remarkable age of 103 years, our beloved John Tadashi Okamoto passed away on March 26, 2017 in Ontario, Calif.
Born in Pasadena, Calif. and educated in Japan, he returned to California and married Martha Ito. They were later imprisoned in Manzanar along with other family members.
Predeceased by his wife, John is survived by three children, Roger, Janice Mizuhara, and Dennis. He was truly blessed with 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Seicho-No-Ie Church, 14527 S. Vermont Ave,, Gardena, on May 5, 2017. Proceedings will begin at 11 a.m.
