A private memorial service for the late Toshio Sato, 76, Fukushima-ken born, resident of the state of Oregon who passed away on Feb. 14, 2017 was held on Feb. 24 in Eugene, Ore. Long-time resident of San Fernando Valley, and a member of California Landscapers’ Association, Fukushima Kenjinkai, Sun Valley Karate and Aikido Dojos and SFV Judo Dojo, SFV Gardeners’ and Landscape Association, & Japanese Language School, Oregon Landscapers’ Association & Japanese American Association of Lane County. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Jay (Sherry); daughters, Erika (Dana) Fong and Marianne (Tommy) Pho; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Chiyomi Sato, Toshiaki Sato and Shiro Sato; and nieces and nephews.
