Midori Yoshimura passed away peacefully in Seattle, Wash. on Oct. 13, 2017, at the age of 98. She retired from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and relocated to Seattle after the death of her husband, Toshio (“Iggy”), to be closer to her daughter and family. Midori is survived by her daughter Ann Kumata; granddaughter Krissy (Benson) Wong; great-grandsons Logan and Peyton; as well as many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Calif.
Remembrances may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Seattle, and Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle.
