Ryo Joe Nakai - Rafu Shimpo

Public funeral services for the late Ryo Joe Nakai, 96-year-old Fresno-born resident of Cerritos, who passed away on Jan. 27, 2018, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 11:00 a.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
He is survived by his wife, Shigeko Nakai; children, Setsuko (Masaru) Fujiwara, Keiko (Mark) Van Meeteren, and Diane (Paul) Matsushima; grandchildren, Glen (Mari) Fujiwara, Eric (May) Van Meeteren, Tiffany Van Meeteren; Jennifer (Art) Luna, Ryan and Kara Matsushima; great-grandchildren, Aimi, Issey, and Kenji Fujiwara, Maddox and Malia Van Meeteren, and Kayla Luna; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
