A funeral service for Charles Shiro Ueda, 85-year-old, veteran of the Korean Conflict, Torrance-born Sansei, who passed away on Feb. 14, 2018 in Torrance, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W. 182nd St., Torrance.
He is survived by his wife, Chieko Ueda; children, Karen (Richard) Shipherd, Kevin (Nikki) and Kyle Ueda; grandchildren, Michael and Cory Mayfield, Charles, Nathan and Elena Ueda; sister, Alice Umetsu; sister-in-law, Agnes Ueda; and also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
