Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ayako Nitao, 91 years old, Kagoshima, Japan-born resident of Gardena, who passed away on May 23 at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, will be held on Saturday, June 9, 1:30 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena.
She is survived by daughters, Hiroko Irene (David) Fujiura and Dr. Noriko (Steve) Lee; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew and Michael Fujiura, and Scott and Ryan Lee; great-grandchild, Jonathan David Fee; sister-in-law, Sachiko (Takenori) Imagiire; in Japan, sisters, Teruko Kukimoto and Kyoko Nitao and sister-in-law, Kazuko Nitao; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives here and in Japan.
