A private memorial service for Mitsuko Nakazono, 84-year-old, Tokyo, Japan-born Issei, who passed away on June 11, 2018 in Gardena, was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, with Rev. Dr. Richard Kuyama from Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Shunyo Nakazono; children, Stanley Harumitsu Nakazono of New York, Yuriko (Masashi) Shikai, Terry and Thomas Taketaka (Akari) Nakazono; grandchildren, Sayuri and Yurika Shikai, Kai Nakazono; siblings, Teruo Ikeda and Haruko Muroya, both of Japan; also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
