Kyoji Shimaya, 86, died early Friday morning, Oct. 25, at the Maui Memorial Medical Center in Maui, Hawaii following a brief illness. He leaves his wife of 7 years, Candice Kodani Shimaya. He is surviving his son, Fred Shimaya, and many close friends.
Funeral memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 1:00 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 (Eastside of Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles).
Burial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 11 a.m. at Green Hill Memorial Cemetery, 25701 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes.
