Private funeral services for the late Carole Megumi Kakita, 79-year-old, Los Angeles-born, resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on March 16, were held on Friday, April 23, at Rose Hills Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Alfred Tsuyuki of Konko Church of Los Angeles.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Jon) Kim; son, Bryan (Brenda) Kakita; grandchildren, Kent and Kalani Kakita; best friend and companion, Richard Chan; sister-in-law, June Masui; niece, Kathleen Masui; nephew, Kevin (Olivia) Masui; also survived by many other beloved family members and friends.
