Melvin Masao Higa, 80, of Rowland Heights, Calif., graduated from Farrington High School in 1961 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967.
Mel was a devoted family man, and will be deeply missed by his spouse, Jaclyn Higa, children, Kevin Higa, Donna (Bryan) Cadiz, Steven (Natalie) Higa, and Jocelyn Higa, as well as his grandchildren, Kyrie Higa, Dallas Higa, Kalen (Annie) Cadiz, and Dylan Cadiz. He also leaves behind his sisters, Ann (Bob) Creen and Dilys (George) Sunabe.
A chapel service was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, and his remains are with his wife Jaclyn of 46 years.
