Ruriko “Ruth” Yoshida was born in Tremonton, Utah on November 20, 1926, to Mitsuo and Yoshiko Mimura. She passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on January 4, 2024. Ruriko was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hideo. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Tony) Chiang and Arleen Nakamura, and her 3 grandchildren, Michael, Aaron and Meghan Chiang. She is also survived by her sister, Aiko Morioka, brother-in-law, Toshiki Takata, and other relatives and friends.
A survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Ruriko will always be remembered for her indomitable spirit and love of life. A private family funeral service was held on February 6, 2024, in the historic church at Green Hills Memorial Park.
