Kishin Daiko will be among the musical performers at the ESGVJCC.

WEST COVINA — The 2024 Akimatsuri Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center, 1203 W. Puente Ave. in West Covina.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

1:30 p.m: Special presentation by City of West Covina

2 p.m.: Nihon Buyo (Japanese dance group)

3 p.m.: Halau Hula Moani’a’ala Anuhea (hula dance group)

3:30 p.m.: Covina Kendo Dojo

4 p.m.: ESGVJCC Ballroom Dance

4:30 p.m.: Eibukan Goju Ryu Karate-do

5 p.m.: Kishin Daiko

5:30 p.m.: Ogino Academy (children singing and dancing)

2024 ESGVJCC Queen Amy Ryoko Kubo will serve as emcee.

West Puente Avenue will be closed from North Hartley Street to the ESGVJCC’s west driveway (by North Walnuthaven Drive) for the festival. The ESGVJCC parking lot will not be open for public parking, but plenty of street/residential parking is available. Carpooling, ridesharing and public transportation are also encouraged.
