Fred Katakura, age 85, of California, born in Hawaii, a retired engineer, an Army veteran, and a flower shop owner, passed away at his home on Oct 23, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his brother, James.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; children, Jason (Sharon) and Julie (Dean); brother, Frank (Grace); grandchildren, Davis, Colin, and Jadyn; and other family and friends in Hawaii, California, and Japan.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 10:30 a.m. at Wintersburg Presbyterian Church, 2000 N. Fairview St., Santa Ana, Calif.
