Jerry Hisao Nakanouchi, 93, born in Japan and a longtime resident of Los Angeles, Calif., passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025.
He is survived by son, Thomas Hideo (Sheri); daughter, Yumi Yanagi; grandsons, Keith Masami and Brad Kazuhisa Yanagi; granddaughter, Naomi Kazuko Nakanouchi; sisters, Satsue Yahata and Kimiko Miyake of California and Harue Kuramoto of Japan; also survived by many nieces and nephews here and in Japan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City, CA 90230. A burial service will follow at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave. Inglewood, CA 90301.
