Funeral service for the late Jinko Takeda, 89-year-old, Japan-raised, resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on December 28, 2024, will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City, CA 90230

Jinko created a home full of love and warmth for her four children and husband. Whether she was in the kitchen cooking up a meal or chatting away on the phone, she was always present and full of life. Her laughter and radiant smile had the power to light up any room. A devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Jinko cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She loved her trips to June Lake with loved ones and found joy in visiting the casinos and playing the slot machines. Jinko will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred Masaru “Mach” Takeda; she is survived by her beloved children, Willie Takeda, Aileen (Scott) Zeidman, Jeff (Christine) Takeda and Wayne (Daniela) Takeda; grandchildren, Trace and Derek Takeda, Jason and Brandon Zeidman, Jennifer, Sara and Keri Takeda, and Matias, Cameron and Jordan Takeda. She is also survived by siblings in Japan, Yasutoshi Tanaka, Hiroko Fujihira, and Masako Tsukada and many nieces and nephews.
