A private memorial service for Kazuo “Katz” Hirano, 88-year-old, El Centro, Calif.-born, Rosemead resident, who passed away on May 18, 2025, was held on Monday, June 09, 2025.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; daughters, Pamela (Marc) Shishima, Stephanie Hirano, and Kimberly (Darren Yasukochi) Hirano; granddaughter, Emily Shishima; brother-in-law, George Sugimoto; niece and nephew, Lisa (Don Nose) Sugimoto and Nathan (Christine) Sugimoto; he is also survived by many other relatives. He was predeceased by his sister, Ruri Sugimoto.
