A special screening of the documentary “Japanese American Legacy on Wheels” will take place on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Main Hall of the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute, 1964 W. 162nd St., Gardena.
The screening is being held in conjunction with the GVJCI Car Show.
Produced by Sansei Legacy and directed by Mitchell Matsumura, “Japanese American Legacy on Wheels” is dedicated to the passion and history of those that started it all. They helped drive the American muscle car era and the Japanese import tuner era to what they are today.
