Shinobu Furuichi, 83, passed away in her son’s home peacefully in Torrance, California on August 7, 2025. She battled cancer for almost 3 years. She was the owner of Sanyo Nursery in East Los Angeles for nearly 40 years. She loved the community and customers that turned into life-long friendships. She is survived by her 2 sons, Richard and John; daughters-in-law, Leslie and Sheryl; grandchildren, Tyler, Emi, Riki and Kamryn; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral and interment service was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Reverend Yuki Himeji officiating.
