Japan Hollywood Network will present “Solitary Gourmet New Year’s Eve Special” on Sunday, Dec. 28, at 6:30 p.m. on KXLA, Channel 44, in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
This culinary documentary drama follows Goro Inogashira, an importer of foreign goods, as he enjoys meals at various eateries he visits during business trips. Goro sets out to deliver a mysterious film reel, but unexpected detours take him all the way to Nagano. Hungry from the long drive, he discovers soul-warming dishes — and t he heartfelt story behind the reel itself.
The warmest story in the history of “Solitary Gourmet New Year’s Eve Special” gently wraps around the night of New Year’s Eve.
