A combined funeral service for the late Chieko Yamamoto, 84-year-old, Okayama, Japan born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on January 30, 2026, and who was preceded in death by her husband, Fujiyoshi Fuji Yamamoto, 89-year-old, Fukuoka, Japan born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on January 20, 2026, will be held on Sunday, February 22, at 2 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple 815 E. First St. in Los Angeles.
Chieko and Fujiyoshi are survived by their sons, Dennis (Miho) and Andrew (Kimi) Yamamoto; grandchildren, Koh, Kina, Ashton, Presley, and Kaya Yamamoto; and siblings, Toshio Yamamoto and Itsuko Tanaka, both of Japan. They are also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in Japan.
