Minnie Mine Babamoto, 102 years old, El Centro, Calif.-born, resident of Los Angeles, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Takeshi Babamoto, and survived by her loving family: daughters, Doris (James) Murai and Joyce (Richard) Imada; sons, Kenneth (Emily) and Dennis (Carol Komatsuka) Babamoto; grandchildren, Trisha Murai (Marc Pilotin), Ryan (Laura) Murai, Stephanie Imada (Brent Wimmer), Randall (Kim) Imada, Erin Babamoto, Claire Babamoto (Charles Brodeur) and Lauren Babamoto; great-grandchildren, Ollie and Avery Pilotin, Jordan Murai, Sean, Christopher, and Lucas Wimmer, Mackenzie and Alex Imada. She is also survived by many nieces, a nephew and other relatives. Private services were held at Fukui Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Koho Takata from West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple officiating. The family requests no koden.
