Harriet Kimiko Kumagawa, a 94-year-old longtime resident of Montebello, California, passed away peacefully on April 11 in Whittier.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer Lawn, on May 15, at 11 a.m.
Harriet was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Yoshito and Hisayo Togo, and grew up in Kahuku. She worked as a homemaker, devoted to raising her children and maintaining connections with family and friends throughout Southern California and in Hawaii.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kwanji Kumagawa; daughter, Debbie Yamashita; and granddaughter, Kristin Kumagawa. Survived by her sons, Mark (Cindy), Dean, Burt (Joni); grandchildren, Ashley, Emma, Jay and Kallyn; and brother, George Togo.
