ELGIN, Ill. – Nancy Mieko Kawasaki peacefully passed away on April 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 21, 1953.
Nancy graduated from Alhambra (Calif.) High School, from which she maintained many valuable friendships. She went on to achieve a BA degree from Cal State L.A.
Nancy had an over 30-year professional career in the information technology department at Sears. Nancy enjoyed an active retirement which included volunteering at the Northern Illinois Food Bank and Elgin Community College.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Glenn Kawasaki in Seattle; her 42-year partner and best friend, David Bosely; cousins and other relatives, and many friends who loved her for her indomitable spirit, kindness and generosity.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lillian.
