Funeral services for the late Akiyoshi Sata, 96-year-old, Kagoshima, Japan-born, resident of Glendora, who passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026 were held on June 15, 2026, at Oakdale Memorial Park with Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his loving family: son, Masaaki Sata; daughters, Ryuko (Jeff) Dragovich and Shirley (Tim) Shultz; grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle Dragovich, and Samantha and Sidney Shultz; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
