Nora Wakai, born on October 7, 1924 in Summerland, B.C., Canada, and longtime resident of Bellflower, Calif., passed away on June 10, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry. She is survived by her loving family: children, Ken (Eiko) Wakai, Mary (Terry) Hamrick, Bob (Coleen) Wakai; grandchildren, Patti Kai, Christie (Greg) Horne, Amie (Paul) Cho, Craig Wakai, and Lauren Wakai; eight great-grandchildren; Uzawa relatives, nieces, Midori (Ed) Kozuki, Beverly Matsu; nephews, Ed (Anita) Matsu, Ray (Ethel) Dorio, Gene (Robin) Dorio, and Ed (Teri) Dorio; and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif. in the Hillside Chapel on Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The graveside service will be immediately following the funeral. Casual attire is suggested.
