• Wednesday, Aug. 5, 4:10 p.m. — 原爆犠牲者慰霊祭 Irei-sai and 平和祈願祭 Peace Prayer for Hiroshima and Nagasaki: A memorial ceremony for the 81st anniversary of the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima (Aug. 6, 1945) and Nagasaki (Aug, 9, 1945), to reconfirm our commitment to world peace and to pray for the spirits of those who lost their lives. • Saturday, Aug. 8, 7 p.m. — Silent Prayer 黙祷 and Bells for Peace 平和の鐘 for Nagasaki: We will observe the anniversary of the moment the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki 81 years ago with the ringing of Bells for Peace and offer a silent prayer for the spirits of those who lost their lives to the atomic bombs.
