A “Meet the Authors” event featuring Naomi Hirahara (“Crown City: A Japantown Mystery”) and Patricia Smiley (“A Cold November Murder: A Justice Bay Mystery”) will be held on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m. at Mystery Ink Bookstore, Old World Village, 7561 Center Ave., Huntington Beach.
