OCO Natsu Matsuri 2026 will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Tanaka Farms, 5380 3/4 University Dr., Irvine.
This year the WWII Camp Wall, OCO Club, and Tanaka Farms join in bringing OCO Natsu Matsuri to life. Come enjoy the festivities, including games, food, drinks (including a beer garden), ondo dancing, the Float Parade, and sake tasting.
Japanese dance will be led by Nancy Hayata and ondo will be led by Marisa Kosugi of Minyo Station and Wesley Nishinaka.
The Float Parade features OCO Natsu Matsuri’s version of a mikoshi (portable shrines). Groups decorate their floats with things or concepts that are special to them. It’s a festive celebration that will lift your spirits.
Entertainment will include taiko and a karaoke contest (Japanese songs only). A craft and boutique area will feature vendors selling a wide range of unique items.
Admission is free but parking must be purchased. No walk-ins allowed. For more information: www.oconatsumatsuri.org
