A Celebration of Life for the late Mr. Richard Masato Kawano, 94-year-old, Los Angeles-born, resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on June 6, 2026, was held on August 12.
He is survived by his wife, Misako Kawano; stepdaughter, Ellen (Alan) Shimamoto; grandchildren, Matthew and Tyler Shimamoto; sister-in-law, Takako Murashige; also survived by other relatives.
