Kandace Kuwahara and Harmony prepare for the seventh annual Furbaby Lovefest and this year’s theme, “Enchanted Forest.” The free event, presented by Infinite Love Animal Rescue, will be held on the lawn of Gardena City Hall on Oct 4.
Step into a world of woodland wonder at the seventh annual Furbaby Lovefest, returning to the Gardena City Hall lawn, 1700 W. 162nd St. in Gardena, on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 12 to 5 p.m.
Presented by Infinite Love Animal Rescue in partnership with the City of Gardena, Furbaby Lovefest has grown into one of the South Bay’s largest pet-friendly community festivals, bringing together pet families, animal lovers, rescue organizations, local businesses, and community resources.
According to Kandace Kuwahara, founder and executive director, this year’s “Enchanted Forest” theme invites guests to enjoy a magical afternoon filled with whimsical creatures, furry friends, festive costumes, shopping, entertainment, pet services, and unforgettable memories.
A themed Furbaby Costume Contest will be one of the day’s featured activities. Top prize is $100 and a trophy.
The free community event will include:
- Pet adoptions
- Pet licensing
- Free dog and cat nail trims
- Low-cost vaccinations and microchipping
- Low-cost cat spay and neuter services
- Photo booth
- Music
- Food truck
- Raffle and silent auction
- A variety of retail vendors featuring candles, handmade cards, specialty dog treats, dog and cat clothing, pet products, gifts, and more.
One lucky raffle winner will take home the event’s grand prize — a 55-inch TV.
Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to attend. Cats are welcome in
secure carriers.
