Mrs. Chizuye Yamamoto, 93, Fresno, Calif.-born Nisei, resident of Laguna Hills, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2012 at her residence. Private family funeral services were held on Jan. 6 at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating. She is survived by her nephew, Steven (Nanci) Kawa; nieces, Susan (John) Davenport and Peggy (George) Magallon; nephew, Alan Kawa; nieces, Judy (Gus) Petsas, Diane (Tom) Yokoi and Connie (Ed) Lum; nephews, Bruce (Cheryl) Imada and David (Andrea) Imada; brother-in-law, Taro Kawa.
