Funeral service for the late Akitoshi Jim Nishi, 86-year-old Kagoshima, Japan-born resident of Torrance, who passed away peacefully on July 23, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 1 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. First St., Los Angeles, Calif.
Visitation on Tues. 7/31, 6/9 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary. 707 E. Temple St., LA. 90012.
He is survived by wife, Mutsuko Nishi; children, Joann and Henry (Eva) Nishi; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alyssa Nishi; brother-in-law, Tak (Keiko) Nishi; sisters-in-law, Kikuyo Yamaguchi and Yoshiko Yoshimori; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives, here and in Japan.
