West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple, 2003 Corinth Ave., Los Angeles, will hold its annual Obon Festival on Saturday, July 28, from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 29, from 3 to 9 p.m.

West L.A. Taiko performs at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Bon Odori will take place at 6:30 p.m. both days. This year’s dances are: “Bon Odori Uta,” “Seinen Ondo,” “Gassho Ondo,” “Hana no Nippon So Odori,” “Tokyo Gorin Ondo,” “Memanbetsu Bayashi,” “Mottainai,” and “Yagi Bushi.” Dancers are asked to bring kachi-kachi (castanets), tenugui (towels) and uchiwa (round fans) for certain dances.

The festival will also feature games, a raffle, ikebana and bonsai displays, and food booths offering udon, won ton, Imagawa yaki and more.
