Harry Hayato Arima passed away on July 15, 2012. He was surrounded by his three loving daughters, his sons-in-law, and all six of his grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Nobuko Hamai of Watsonville, Calif., Mitsuko Hashi of West Los Angeles and Lillie Miyake of Los Angeles. Harry was a friend to many and loved by all. He was a great and selfless man who dedicated his life to helping others, the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back. He was born in 1929 in San Jose, Calif. and grew up in the Salinas Valley. During World War II, he and his family lived for three years in the Japanese internment camps. He served his country proudly during the Korean War. Harry gave to this world so much more than he took from it. His love, laughter and generous spirit will fill our hearts until we see him again. A private service will be held.
