The UCLA Asian American Studies Center’s Annual Awards Reception and Alumni Reunion will take place Saturday, Oct. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Sequoia Room of the UCLA Faculty Center, 480 Charles E. Young Drive East.
Student and faculty awardees of 2012-13 will be honored and AASC grants, fellowships, scholarships and academic prizes will be presented. The event will be an opportunity for alumni, faculty, staff and friends to reunite.

Confirmed faculty attending: Lucy Burns, Robert Chao Romero, Jinqi Ling, Thu-Huong Nguyen-Vo, May Wang, David Yoo, Min Zhou.
A special alumni panel will feature:
• Iosefa Aina (AAS MA student), director of the Asian American Resource Center at Pomona College;
• Jean Paul de Guzman (AAS MA, 2007), Ph.D. candidate in UCLA’s History Department;
• Gisele Fong (AAS MA 1993), executive director of EndOil;
• Susie Ling (AAS MA, 1984), associate professor at Pasadena City College.
The event is free, but reservations are required as space is limited. Reception with refreshments to follow.
