Memorial service for Midori Koga, 89, of Parlier will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 1 p.m. at the Parlier Buddhist Church, 690 E. Newmark Ave, Parlier, CA 93648. Born in Coronado, Calif. and interned at Poston Camp III, she worked for her brother Haruki Koba at his Tofu Store in San Diego until she married Ben Koga and moved to Parlier. She waitressed at Ben’s Cafe for 30 years. After retirement, they traveled the world and watched many of their grandchildren’s basketball games.
She passed away peacefully on April 27, at Hines Hospice. She is survived by her husband, Ben; daughters, Gay (Brian) Kurahashi and Jan Koga; two grandchildren, Bailey and Conner Kurahashi; brothers-in-law, Saburo Kodama of San Diego and Tom (Kikuye Kawamoto) Koga of Parlier; and many nieces and nephew.
