Zenshuji Soto Mission, 123 S. Hewitt St. (at First Street) in Little Tokyo, will hold its 55th annual Obon Carnival on Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tea ceremony demonstrations will be given from 12 to 4 p.m. both days. Ikebana and art exhibits will be on view all day.

Obon services will be held both days at 1:30 p.m.

The carnival will feature food booths, a farmer’s market with produce and flowers, a white elephant sale, and children’s games.

The schedule of events is as follows:

Saturday

3 p.m.: Karaoke contest

4 p.m.: Kikuta Kai (folk dance)

4:30 p.m.: Ramen Tree (band)

5:15 p.m.: Shorinji Kempo (martial arts)

6 p.m.: Zendeko (taiko)

6:45 p.m.: Bon Odori

Sunday

3 p.m.: Tokushima Awa Odori (folk dance)

3:30 p.m.: Bando Hidesomi (classical dance)

4:15 p.m.: Ramen Tree (band)

5 p.m.: Yoshi Yamamoto (jazz)

5:20 p.m.: Random Ninjas (rock band)

6 p.m.: Zendeko

6:35 p.m.: Raffle drawing

6:45 p.m.: Bon Odori with music by Matsutoyo Kai
