Private funeral services for Kiyoji Watari, 93-year-old, Compton-born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on Aug. 28, 2014 at Keiro Nursing Home, were held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rev. Peter Hata of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his son, Tetsusen Wesley (Sayoko) Watari; grandsons, Tetsuji and Hiromitsu (Sharon) Watari and other relatives.
