Greater Los Angeles JACL President Janet Okubo presented $500 scholarships to two students during the chapter’s meeting on June 14 at Merit Park in Gardena. Kellie Benson graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra and will be attending USC in the pre-pharmacy program. Andrew Gruhn graduated from South Pasadena High School and will major in biology at UC Riverside.
