Masao Katayama - Rafu Shimpo

Masao Katayama, 89 year-old, California-born, resident of Rosemead, who passed away on March 10, 2018.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, California 90012.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 11:00 a.m. at Seicho-No-Ie, 14527 South Vermont Avenue, Gardena, California 90247.

Private burial will be at a later date.

Predeceased by his wife, Michiko Katayama.

He is survived by daughters, June (Neil) Murakami and Polly (R.) Chun; grandchildren, Alyssa and Kasey Murakami, and Steven and Haley Chun; brothers, Tetsuo Larry (Irene) Katayama of Gilroy, California and Toshio (Shizuko) Katayama of Japan; also survived by other relatives here and in Japan.
