Yoshinobu Ono, 92-year-old, resident of Boyle Heights, passed away on Oct. 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Mitsuko Shirai Ono; children, Yoshi (Tomoko) Ono and Linda (James) Van Hoy; grandchildren, Jarryd (Chelsea) Van Hoy, Lauren (Aaron) Michelson, and Alyssa Ono, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Also his siblings, Takeshi (deceased), Katsumi Ono, Masayoshi and Hiroshi Ono of Mexico, Hidetoshi Ono, Yukie Shigemoto of Japan and Shigeru Ono.
A private service was held on Nov. 17, 2018 at Fukui Chapel, with Rev. Koho Takata of Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
