Marvin and Patsy met at the UCLA Engineering Library, where they enjoyed their Bruin life during John Wooden’s golden years (1961–1976). They married on December 19, 1965, at the Pasadena Buddhist Temple and established their home in Culver City. Together, they raised a family of three children (Cynthia, Brian, and Gary), welcomed in-law children (Kamryn and Marfi), and embraced three in-spirit children (Tokumei, Carmen, and Glorianne), along with nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 11 a.m. at Zenshuji Soto Mission, 123 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
