June

JUNE 21-22 — Summer Natsu Matsuri Festival at Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr, Los Angeles. Sat, 12-9 pm; Sun, 11 am-8 pm. Featuring food, games, martial arts demonstrations, cultural exhibits, taiko, ondo dancing, music by Elemental Funk. Raffle drawing Sun at 7 pm. Free; no pets. Info: www.vjcc.com
JUNE 21-22 — Obon Festival at Valley Japanese Community Center, 8850 Lankershim Blvd, Sun Valley. Sat, 4-9 pm, kendo demo at 5 pm, ondo at 7 pm; Sun, 4-8 pm, judo demo at 5:30 pm, ondo at 6:30 pm.
