Mom was an Issei from Kagoshima who had many friends because of her love of life! She died peacefully at the age of 89 at Nagomi Home in Covina, where she received loving care for the last five years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristine; her son, Fred; and her granddaughters, Lauren and Tian. Her sister, Noriko, and many other relatives live both in the United States and in Japan.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, 3 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles.
