Mr. Masao Okamoto, 89, Kochi, Japan-born Issei, resident of Los Angeles, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Sayoko Okamoto; sons, Kurt Okamoto and Tsuguo (Sayuri) Okamoto; grandchildren, Kyle (Bobo) Okamoto of Australia and Wendy (Spencer) Hull; great-grandchild, Bryce Okamoto of Australia.
Private family funeral services were held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Nobuhara Uzunoe of Konko Church of Gardena officiating.
