Tomoko Nagai
Tomoko Nagai is a Los Angeles–based journalist with The Rafu Shimpo, serving as a staff reporter, news editor, and proofreader for the Japanese-language section, while also contributing to the English-language section. Born and raised in Tokyo, she holds a degree from the Nihon University College of Art, where she studied film with a focus on electronic newsgathering and video art. She began her career in New York as a U.S. correspondent for the Japanese publisher, and later worked as an associate editor of the U.S. Food Journal and managing editor of the FJQ Newsletter. She joined The Rafu Shimpo in 2019.
