Funeral services for the late Mr. Henry Masayoshi Shimohara, 91-year-old Glendale, Calif.-born Kibei Nisei resident of Torrance who passed away on Sept. 2 at Little Company of Mary Medical Center will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 7:30 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 West 166th St., Gardena, Calif.
He is predeceased by his wife, Chiyoko; and son, Jerry.
He is survived by his loving children, Stan (Sharon) Shimohara, Diana (Dennis) Mitani and Lorraine (Pat) Coyne of Russia, Arthur (Harriet) and Ronald (Terri) Shimohara; grandchildren, Matthew (Jenny) Shimohara of Germany, Scott, Donny, Lynn Shimohara, Michael and Marcy Mitani, Melinda and Julianne Coyne both of Texas, Sean, Mark, Sam and Kate Shimohara; great-granddaughter, Ashley Mitani; sister, Hidemi Kamikawa; daughter-in-law, Ellen Shimohara; sister-in-law, Rushie Shimohara; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
