Carl Soichiro Koto, born in Buhl, Idaho, raised in Kyushu, & returned to the U.S. in the ‘30s. He was interned at Heart Mountain and worked as a sugar beeter. After the war, he settled in Georgia, worked as a chick sexer, married Sachiko Yasumi, and raised a family. When retired, he was an avid fisherman into his 90s and a passionate bridge player to the end. He is survived by his children Steve and Mary, and by his sister Emma Shimano.
No service was held, but the family welcomes photos and stories about Carl at PO 3185, San Diego, CA 92163, and donations in his memory to the senior lunch and bridge program to: City of San Jose-Camden Center, 3369 Union Ave, San Jose, CA 95124.
